Volume of cargo transported through corridors passing via Azerbaijan revealed

In 2025, 14,261.4 thousand tons of cargo were transported by rail, 11,046.1 thousand tons by road, and 7,229.7 thousand tons by sea through transport corridors passing through the territory of Azerbaijan, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.

During the reporting period, the volume of cargo transported via the East-West transport corridor amounted to 16,909.8 thousand tons, including 8,173.2 thousand tons through the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor, 9,289 thousand tons via the North-South transport corridor, 5,804.8 thousand tons through the North-West transport corridor, and 533.6 thousand tons via the South-West transport corridor.

“Transit cargo accounts for 46.2% of rail freight, 42.3% of road freight, and 93.3% of sea freight,” the statement said.
