href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/08\/22\/us-news\/la-hardware-stores-were-front-for-4-5-million-cargo-theft-ring-police\/\">cargo theft<\/a> ring. <\/p>\n<p>The LAPD said the suspects were collared in a long-running investigation that focused on a series of <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/16\/us-news\/california-mall-brazen-valentines-day-heist-caught-on-camera\/\">thefts <\/a>targeting cargo and container chassis, which carry shipping containers for big-rig <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/20\/us-news\/gavin-newsom-caves-as-california-enforces-english-tests-for-truck-drivers\/\">trucks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cops, along with three other agencies executed search warrants on the suspects Wednesday and discovered an eye-popping amount of allegedly stolen loot.<\/p>\n<p>In all, cops seized some $5 million worth of ill-gotten schwag, police said. than $300,000 in cash, three guns and multiple digital devices, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>An enviable array of luxury vehicles and sports cars that were seized by cops was displayed in a set of photos of the bust shared by law enforcement with reporters.<\/p>\n<p>The LAPD\u2019s Commercial Crimes Division Cargo Theft Task Force worked with the Los Angeles Port Police, California Department of Justice Tax Recovery in the Underground Economy Program (TRUE) and the California Department of Motor Vehicles Investigations Division on the investigation. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough this collaborative enforcement effort, the total estimated value of recovered property exceeds $5 million,\u201d said LAPD officials in a statement. \u201cThis investigation is ongoing and further arrests are
