Its core claim: traditional freight ERPs were built to record transactions, not to shape outcomes.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cLegacy systems were designed primarily for linear process, transaction recording and financial integrity,\u201d said CEO Jason Picknell. \u201cEmbedding predictive intelligence into tightly coupled architectures is complex. They are structurally constrained rather than incapable.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In most established ERP systems, compliance checks, tariff validation. and documentation processes are triggered at defined points in a linear workflow. Risk tends to surface at rejection, delay, or arrival, when commercial options are limited.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cMost systems surface risk when it is too late,\u201d said Mr Picknell. \u201cWe surface it while the shipment is still movable.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Cargonautix evaluates classification confidence, FTA eligibility, and tariff exposure continuously across the shipment lifecycle, rather than sequentially, the company claims.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThe industry is shifting from recording what happened, to influencing what should happen next.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In an era of fast-changing tariff and sanction complexity, Argocore is arguing that waiting until clearance to identify exposure is structurally flawed.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Whether incumbent platforms can retrofit that kind of continuous intelligence into deeply coupled ERP stacks&nbsp;remains&nbsp;an open question.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Unlike many AI-led workflow tools now appearing in freight tech,&nbsp;Argocore&nbsp;is not positioning itself as a bolt-on analytics layer.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cFor most operators, it is a replacement rather than a permanent add-on,\u201d said&nbsp;Mr&nbsp;Picknell.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Migration can be phased through APIs, but the long-term model is&nbsp;full&nbsp;execution within a unified architecture.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">That puts Cargonautix in direct competition with CargoWise, Magaya, Descartes, and other established providers at a time when forwarders are already scrutinising platform dependency following recent pricing debates.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Switching ERP remains one of the most disruptive moves a forwarder can make, affecting finance, compliance, customer portals, and operational processes. Incumbents retain powerful advantages in scale, global customs connectivity, and embedded accounting capability.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">But the tone of the conversation is&nbsp;starting to&nbsp;shift.&nbsp;Where once the industry asked which ERP to&nbsp;standardise&nbsp;on, some are now asking whether the underlying model&nbsp;is fundamentally limiting.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Argocore&nbsp;is careful to draw boundaries around its AI claims.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cTariff logic, duty calculations, FTA validation, and regulatory schema enforcement are rules-based. They must be deterministic and auditable. We do not&nbsp;monetise&nbsp;or pool shipment-level data,\u201d explained&nbsp;Mr&nbsp;Picknell.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Argocore&nbsp;is not alone in sensing opportunity.&nbsp;Established alternative providers say inbound enquiries from forwarders exploring options have increased.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Newage, which has operated in freight software for more than 15 years and claims strong positions in the UAE and India, reports \u201ca surge of interest from forwarders who want a robust, proven platform\u201d, rather than early-stage experimentation.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Taken together, AI-native entrants and&nbsp;established&nbsp;second-tier vendors are testing whether freight\u2019s dominant ERP model is more vulnerable than it appears.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For now, CargoWise and other incumbents remain deeply embedded across global forwarding operations.
