ABLIC has launched the S-19760\/1 Series, a range of automotive shunt reference integrated circuits (ICs) designed to deliver high-precision reference voltages for analogue-to-digital (A\/D) converters in harsh vehicle environments. The series achieves an output voltage accuracy of \u00b10.1% and an output voltage temperature coefficient of \u00b120ppm\/\u00b0C, which ABLIC claims are the best figures in the industry based on its own research.<\/p>\n
The ICs are intended for use as reference voltages in A\/D converters, which process sensor signals in applications including EV and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) inverters, battery management systems (BMS), on-board chargers (OBCs), and DC-DC converters. An integrated filter circuit delivers output noise of 28\u00b5Vrms at a 2.048V output, reducing measurement errors during signal conversion.<\/p>\n

The S-19761 variant supports a maximum shunt current of 30mA, allowing a single IC to serve as the reference voltage for multiple circuits simultaneously. ABLIC says this reduces component count and supports space-saving designs. The series is available in two packages: the standard SOT-23-3 (2.8 x 2.9mm) and the ultra-small HSNT-8(1616)B (1.6 x 1.6 x 0.41mm).<\/p>\n
The products are designed to meet AEC-Q100 automotive reliability standards, with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) compliance forthcoming. Operating temperature range is -40\u00b0C to +125\u00b0C.<\/p>\n
