Together, Ford, General Motors and Jeep-maker Stellantis have now announced more than $50 billion in charges as they pull back on their EV ambitions,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/business\/autos\/ford-takes-19-5-billion-charge-to-write-down-ev-investments-333a9bc4?gaa_at=eafs&amp;gaa_n=AWEtsqfMoFHdhqFOHytRTp9zuf1b0V1XIPZzPXB1oniUbedP3xXYUxOgGlUrHrRk12A%3D&amp;gaa_ts=6994c30c&amp;gaa_sig=z6jm9-NrzYH62gJTGwkRNGd2fqSp1w2zNs4rAAbN6p3TgWVX-C_r0vZqCvtKLKuAv7B4tThKM2p-ITYKiLiiGg%3D%3D\" target=\"_blank\">article<\/a> in the Wall Street Journal reads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEV tax credit expiring, which was, of course, part of the Big Beautiful Bill, goes into effect late 2025,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/subscribe.blazetv.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">BlazeTV<\/a> host <a href=\"https:\/\/get.blazetv.com\/stu-does-america\/?utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=theblaze-smartlink\" target=\"_blank\">Stu Burguiere<\/a> explains while looking at a chart from the Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd you see monthly sales have dropped off by well over 50%, which is remarkable,\u201d Stu says.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"rm-shortcode\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"d7d9c3ea23236d956c1183d8f0cad903\">[embedded content]<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cNet profit, you see, everything going fine for these companies \u2014 General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis \u2014 until this EV credit goes away. Things drop through the floor. Again, when you\u2019re building your business based on some government credit \u2014 if the only way it can succeed is if the government is giving you money, then you haven&#8217;t built a business,\u201d he explains.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat you\u2019ve built is a rent-seeking operation. What you\u2019ve built is an opportunity to bilk other taxpayers to pay for your crappy business.
