Apple says car keys in Wallet are set to expand significantly soon, and one major new automaker\u2014Toyota\u2014appears to have just launched support.<\/p>\n

The past year has been a big one for Apple Wallet and CarPlay additions, and Apple has teased that more is coming.<\/p>\n

Last WWDC, the company named 13 new automakers<\/a> that had pledged to add car keys in Wallet soon.<\/p>\n

But there\u2019s one vehicle brand not present on that list that just launched support\u2014and it\u2019s a big one.<\/p>\n

Toyota<\/strong> is now rolling out Apple car key support for some of its vehicles, as confirmed<\/a> by a 2026 RAV4 owner on Reddit (via MacRumors<\/em><\/a>).<\/p>\n

The adoption of car keys follows a report<\/a> in December that Toyota had been added to Apple\u2019s backend database of vehicle brands that could support the feature.<\/p>\n

But an automaker getting added by Apple doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019ll necessarily launch support imminently.<\/p>\n

However, in Toyota\u2019s case it appears car key support didn\u2019t take much longer to arrive following that change.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t yet know how many different Toyota vehicles support car keys, or what model years will gain support. <\/p>\n

But now that this first report of a 2026 RAV4 adding support has arrived, hopefully we get an official list of vehicles from Apple or Toyota soon.<\/p>\n
