Mass production began in February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The thermistors are designed for automotive applications including anti-lock braking systems, transmissions, and engines, where power semiconductors are generating higher temperatures. The components are AEC-Q200 compliant and offer an operating temperature range of -55\u00b0C to 175\u00b0C. TDK said the use of silver-palladium terminals compatible with conductive glue mounting enables operation at 175\u00b0C, which was difficult to achieve with conventional solder mounting.<\/p>\n<p>The supplier said demand for higher-temperature components is being driven by the shift to more powerful and heat-resistant power semiconductors in automotive applications. As semiconductor performance increases, electronic components mounted in power modules must also withstand higher temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>The NTCSP series is available in 10 k\u03a9 and 100 k\u03a9 variants in a 1.6 x 0.8 mm package.
