Norway\u2019s VARD has delivered the seismic source vessel Sanco Sailor to compatriot Sanco Shipping, following the completion of conversion from a seismic research vessel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sanco Shipping purchased Sanco Sailor in July 2025, at the time named PGS Apollo, after which the 2010-built, 106.6-meter-long vessel set sail directly to Vard Langsten<\/a> to undergo extensive conversion.<\/p>\n

Since arriving at Vard Langsten in August 2025, the vessel underwent a conversion from a seismic research vessel into a modern seismic source vessel, including major structural modifications, upgrades to the existing seismic equipment, and the installation of a DP2 system to enhance operational capability. <\/p>\n

VARD reported on February 16 that Sanco Sailor has been delivered, following the finalization of sea trials<\/a>.<\/p>\n
