Yusen Logistics has launched a new African subsidary in partnership with Africa Global Logistics (AGL) to capitalise on growth in eastern Africa.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yusen Africa, which was officially unveiled on 2 February, will operate out of Nairobi in Kenya and offer forwarding and logistics solutions \u201ctailored to the region\u2019s growing trade and supply chain demands\u201d.<\/p>\n

The end-to-end services offered by the company include freight forwarding, multimodal transport, contract logistics, customs brokerage, cold chain, e-commerce and project logistics.<\/p>\n

\u201cKenya will serve as a strategic gateway for regional operations, supporting key trade corridors including the Northern Corridor, the Central Corridor, and the Ethiopia\u2013Djibouti Corridor,\u201d the two companies said in a press release.<\/p>\n

By combining AGL\u2019s strong regional presence and local market expertise with Yusen Logistics\u2019 global network, digital platforms and international supply chain capabilities, Yusen Africa aims to support customers across key sectors, including automotive, healthcare, FMCG, infrastructure, and industrial projects.<\/p>\n

Hiroyuki Okamoto, president and chief operating officer of Yusen Logistics Global Mangement said: \u201cThe launch of Yusen Africa demonstrates our long-term commitment to Africa.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy bringing together global expertise and technology with deep local capabilities, we are well positioned to support our customers as they grow across Eastern Africa.\u201d<\/p>\n

AGL chief executive international logistics and railways Eric Melet added: \u201cThis partnership will enable us to provide more integrated, efficient and high-value logistics solutions, while supporting the region\u2019s economic development.\u201d<\/p>\n
