The number of job seekers in Israel\u2019s high-tech sector stood at 16,300 in December 2025, twice the figure recorded in December 2022, according to a special report on employment trends in the industry published Sunday by the Employment Service.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the same time, the report indicates that although the number of high-tech job seekers remains elevated compared to previous years, the pace of increase slowed significantly during 2025. In the final quarter of the year, the figure stabilized at around 16,000 job seekers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Compared to January 2022, the number of job seekers outside the high-tech sector has fallen to about 90% of its level at that time. In contrast, among high-tech professionals, the number is 126% higher.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Employment Service data also show that 59% of high-tech job seekers come from software-related occupations, totaling 9,600 candidates. Of those, software developers and systems analysts account for about 51%, and their share has been rising over the years.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The report further notes that the number of open positions in high-tech increased by approximately 15%, from 15,900 to 18,300, during 2025. By the end of the year, the ratio of vacancies to job seekers stood at 1.12, meaning 112 open positions for every 100 job seekers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the final quarter of the year, the number of open software development positions rose by about 5%, while openings for engineers increased by roughly 4%.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The average salary in the high-tech sector reached approximately NIS 32,500 in the final quarter of 2025, compared to NIS 13,600 in other industries. Among high-tech job seekers, however, the average previous salary stood at about NIS 21,700.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
