The program gives customers access to high-quality, vetted, compliant, trusted carriers, along with the drayage services associated with picking up cargo from shipping terminals and airports.<\/p>\n<p>Changing trucking carriers after a shipment arrives in the U.S. isn\u2019t simple, and managing the process can become even more complex, says <strong>Lee Jones<\/strong>, one of the leaders of the GDS team.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That reality was the catalyst for expanding Green\u2019s services \u2014 providing companies with end-to-end freight movement throughout the product lifecycle.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>One Provider, End-to-End Control<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>International freight often requires multiple providers \u2014 one overseas, another at the port, a third for inland transport (drayage) and a fourth to move freight from a warehouse to local stores and\/or inland distribution centers.<\/p>\n<p>Green Worldwide Shipping already manages the first three legs. Visibility is much greater when everything is under one roof,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Supporting Global Companies Stateside<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>According to <strong>Cole Fiveash<\/strong>, another leader of Green\u2019s domestic transport operations, demand remains strong even as manufacturing and supply chains navigate shifting trade relationships and tariffs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany global companies may not have an office in the U.S.,\u201d Mr. Fiveash says. \u201cSo managing the compliance of a domestic transportation program can feel like foreign territory.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"scaip scaip-3 \">@media ( min-width: 300px ){.newspack_global_ad.scaip-3{min-height: 100px;}}@media ( min-width: 728px ){.newspack_global_ad.scaip-3{min-height: 90px;}}@media ( min-width: 970px ){.newspack_global_ad.scaip-3{min-height: 100px;}} <\/aside>\n<p>Those companies often already trust Green for international moves. Now they can rely on the same partner once shipments arrive stateside.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey know the Green name globally,\u201d Mr. Fiveash says. \u201cNow we can continue supporting their freight in the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Green officially launched its domestic program in October, positioning GDS as a strategic expansion of its global services.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Managing Risk in Domestic Freight<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Mr. Jones cautions that domestic transportation is increasingly risky when treated as a basic transaction, citing three key concerns: visibility, pricing and fraud.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFraud has become a huge problem domestically,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>He describes increasingly sophisticated schemes involving spoofed emails, falsified motor carrier credentials and redirected cargo \u2014 often without the truck driver realizing anything is wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Green addresses these risks through layered carrier verification, real-time monitoring and direct relationship management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have to talk to people,\u201d says <strong>CJ Sims<\/strong>, one of Green\u2019s leaders in domestic transport operations. \u201cThe human element matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That focus on trust is what distinguishes GDS from traditional truck brokers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not a truck broker,\u201d Mr. Sims says. \u201cTrust is the biggest piece.
