Students in the automotive technology program at Arkansas State University-Beebe are gaining a head start in their careers due to the Metallica Scholars Initiative, which provided a $75,000 grant last September.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Through the Metallica Scholars Initiative, grant scholarship funds were used to purchase 15 industry-quality automotive toolkits \u2013 valued at approximately $1,200. Thirteen toolkits were distributed to the first-semester automotive technology students, while two additional toolkits were presented to the highest-scoring high school students on the Automotive Service Excellence industry standards examination.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
