Lufthansa Cargo has begun scheduled weekly Airbus A321-200 passenger to freighter (P2F) flights to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The cargo division of Lufthansa introduced a A321P2F flight<\/a> between Frankfurt (FRA) and FCO in November to help manage peak season volumes.<\/p>\n

Then in January, Lufthansa Cargo announced that from 7 February, FRA to FCO flights would operate once a week on Saturdays, with flight number LH8344.<\/p>\n

Now, the weekly A321P2F connection from FRA to FCO has \u201cofficially completed its first scheduled arrival\u201d, said Lufthansa Cargo in a LinkedIn post on 10 February.<\/p>\n

The airline, which added Rome as its fifth hub in May 2025, added: \u201cAfter successfully adding extra A321F capacity during the December peak season, we\u2019re proud to continue offering a weekly freighter frequency into Italy\u2019s capital, strengthening our connections to the world via Rome and empowering our customers with even more flexibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast weekend, flight LH8344 left Frankfurt at 06:56 AM (LT) and landed ahead of schedule at 08:29 AM (LT) at Aeroporti di Roma.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lufthansa Cargo, which finalised its acquisition of a 41% stake in ITA Airways<\/a> in January 2025, said the FRA-FCO route and its partnership with ITA enables fast access to South America.<\/p>\n

From FCO, flights connect with ITA flights to Buenos Aires, Guarulhos, or Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n
