The Executive Board of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has appointed a new president, effective 1 May, 2026. Kinsey Fabrizio (pictured) will become president and CEO of the association which owns and produces the world\u2019s most powerful technology event, CES. Long-time CEO Gary Shapiro will continue with the association as executive chair.<\/p>\n

Fabrizio has been a driving force behind the growth and evolution of CES and CTA since joining in 2008, leading strategy and operations across CES, CTA, and all business units. As senior vice president, she oversaw CES conferences and show operations, led an expansion of CES products, and spearheaded a modernisation of CTA\u2019s membership infrastructure and categories. Earlier in her career, she drove strategic growth in emerging technology categories. She created CTA\u2019s Health Division.<\/p>\n

Before joining CTA, Fabrizio worked with SmithBucklin and Northern Virginia Mediation Service.<\/p>\n

Shapiro has led CTA for more than 35 years. He transformed CES to be the largest annual US trade show \u2013attracting more non-US participants than any other event in the US. Under his leadership, CTA\u2019s membership, revenue, and assets expanded tenfold. CTA became an independent organisation, expanded its global reach and transformed CES into the world\u2019s most powerful technology event. As executive chair, Shapiro will continue to lead the CTA Executive Board and serve as a spokesperson and advocate for CTA, CES, and the technology industry.<\/p>\n
