A new entrant in Nigeria\u2019s auto space, Versat Automobile Limited, has made a very remarkable debut in the Lekki area of Lagos where it launched an equally new truck series, and pledged to deliver reliable and value-driven mobility solutions tailored for Nigeria\u2019s operating environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the event on Friday, February 6, 2026, the new auto company gave a foretaste of the good things it has to offer in the Nigerian market by unveiling the C&C U400 high-performance heavy duty truck line known for its safety, reliability, and lightweight design.\n<\/p>\n

The launch, according to the management of Versat Automobile, represents the first major step in the company\u2019s strategy to build a strong presence in the heavy-duty truck segment, supporting   industries   including   logistics,   construction,   mining,   and   infrastructure development with dependable commercial vehicle solutions.<\/p>\n

The C&C truck range is delivered by Versat Automobile., through a strategic partnership with C&C Trucks, a globally experienced commercial vehicle manufacturer known for its engineering capability and proven track record in heavy-duty vehicles production.\n<\/p>\n

Currently, the Versat portfolio includes C&C model U400 6\u00d74 available in tractor, dump truck and chassis variants designed to perform reliably under heavy load conditions.<\/p>\n

The U400 6\u00d74 is equipped with a high-output 400HP engine delivering up to 1800Nm of torque, providing strong pulling power and consistent performance in demanding environments.\n<\/p>\n

Its high-strength steel chassis and reinforced components ensure durability on tough terrain, while optimised fuel efficiency, enabled by next-generation engine combustion systems and high-efficiency turbocharger technology, supports faster payback and lower operating costs.\n<\/p>\n

With excellent ground clearance, robust axles, increased capacity cooling systems and high load-bearing capacity, the truck delivers stability and reliability both on and off-road, making it well-suited to Nigeria\u2019s operating conditions.\n<\/p>\n

Propeller power as strong point\n<\/p>\n

The Head of Sales (Commercial Vehicles), Mr. Umoh Ekanem, highlighted C&C U400\u2019s 400-horsepower prop (propeller) as one of the truck\u2019s unique selling points,\n<\/p>\n

\u201cPerformance-wise,\u201d Ekanem explained, \u201cthis prop is one of the highest in its category. It has a gross combination weight of 90 tonnes.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also commented on the driver\u2019s cabin. which he said was designed, engineered and laid out, in a manner that provides adequate comfort for him (the driver) even as the truck does all the hard work.\n<\/p>\n

After-sales support<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n
