BREVARD COUNTY \u2022 MELBOURNE, FLORIDA \u2014 Florida Institute of Technology is inviting the Space Coast community to campus for a timely discussion on the future of U.S. space operations as part of the 2026 F. Alan Smith Distinguished Lecture Series.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maj. Gen. Timothy Sejba, a former commander of Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) and current Special Assistant to the Vice Chief of Space Operations, will present \u201cThree Waves of Space Force-Led Innovation: Transportation To, In, and From Space.\u201d<\/p>\n

The free, public event is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Gleason Performing Arts Center on Florida Tech\u2019s Melbourne campus.<\/p>\n

His talk will examine how the U.S. Space Force is driving innovation across launch, on-orbit operations, and return capabilities\u2014areas increasingly critical to national security, commercial spaceflight, and scientific advancement.<\/p>\n

The lecture will be followed by a question-and-answer session, offering attendees an opportunity to engage directly with one of the Space Force\u2019s senior leaders.<\/p>\n
