Kuehne+Nagel has opened a new 3,500 sqm, built-to-suit Container Freight Station (CFS) in Mumbai to strengthen its Sea Logistics capabilities in India and support the country\u2019s growing trade needs. <\/p>\n

The new facility is located near the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), India\u2019s largest seaport, providing direct access to one of the country\u2019s most important maritime gateways handling a large share of containerised trade. <\/p>\n

Designed for scalable operations, the CFS enables efficient cargo handling and value-added logistics services. It follows strict safety and security protocols, including end-to-end surveillance, and meets global standards such as CTPAT, AEO and ISO certifications. <\/p>\n

Sustainability has been built into the facility\u2019s design, with electric material-handling equipment and solar-powered lighting aimed at reducing environmental impact. <\/p>\n

Anish Kumar Jha, Managing Director for Kuehne+Nagel India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, said the new CFS will enable faster and more connected operations, helping customers move shipments efficiently and reliably while supporting their evolving logistics needs. <\/p>\n

India is on track to become the world\u2019s third-largest economy within this decade. With more than 70 per cent of its trade moving by sea, demand for modern logistics infrastructure continues to grow, highlighting the country\u2019s expanding role in global commerce. <\/p>\n
