ARK News.. The Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced that a major Chinese company has expressed interest in opening a large car assembly plant in the Kurdistan Region in the near future.<\/p>\n

According to a statement issued by the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a delegation from China\u2019s IAT Group visited the chamber as part of efforts to expand the group\u2019s industrial and investment activities in the automotive sector.<\/p>\n

The statement noted that the delegation was received by the Chamber\u2019s Vice President, Marouf Azizkhan Harki, and was headed by Amir Saadati, Commercial Director of the IAT Group.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Saadati highlighted the company\u2019s expertise in manufacturing spare parts, vehicle design, and car assembly, explaining that IAT provides high-quality products tailored to customer requirements.<\/p>\n

He added that, as an initial step, the company will participate in the Erbil International Auto Show (Auto Show), while its main strategic objective is to establish a large-scale car assembly plant in the Kurdistan Region in the near future.<\/p>\n

With the establishment of a car assembly plant in the Kurdistan Region, the region would enter the automotive manufacturing arena, positioning itself as a player in decision-making within the industry at the local level, and potentially at the regional level in the future.<\/p>\n
