data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/security\/28133\/what-is-cyber-security\">cybersecurity <\/a>concerns.<\/p>\n<p id=\"21dd2d5a-a998-4310-b8ee-9ba09f727f41\">According to Gartner, worldwide IT spending is expected to reach $6.15 trillion in 2026, up 10.8% from last year.<\/p>\n<aside data-block-type=\"embed\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\" class=\"hawk-root\"><\/aside>\n<p id=\"2c93ea33-c399-426c-a3ad-8f309056b911-0\">\u201c<a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/infrastructure\/ai-infrastructure-global-divide\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/infrastructure\/ai-infrastructure-global-divide\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/infrastructure\/ai-infrastructure-global-divide\">AI infrastructure<\/a> growth remains rapid despite concerns about an AI bubble, with spending rising across AI\u2011related hardware and software,\u201d said John-David Lovelock, distinguished VP analyst at Gartner.<\/p>\n<p id=\"3517e54a-69c8-487a-be34-758a8bb8623c\">\u201cDemand from hyperscale cloud providers continues to drive investment in servers optimized for <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/cloud\/hybrid-cloud\/growing-ai-workloads-are-causing-hybrid-cloud-headaches\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/cloud\/hybrid-cloud\/growing-ai-workloads-are-causing-hybrid-cloud-headaches\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/cloud\/hybrid-cloud\/growing-ai-workloads-are-causing-hybrid-cloud-headaches\">AI workloads<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/business\/the-global-server-market-is-booming\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/business\/the-global-server-market-is-booming\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/business\/the-global-server-market-is-booming\">Server spending<\/a> will accelerate in 2026, the firm noted, growing 36.9% year-over-year. These factors are contributing to more muted growth in device shipments.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"bullish-european-tech-spending-3\">Bullish European tech spending<\/h2>\n<p id=\"0fdc21aa-a280-4120-8c6f-144b0a63b1df\">The picture is much the same when it comes to European tech spending, according to figures from Forrester. The consultancy predicts tech spending across the region to hit \u20ac1.5 trillion for the first time this year.<\/p>\n<p id=\"0f00121e-09df-4bf3-8022-b3e2ccae7a38\">Despite the economic impact of US tariffs, particularly on Ireland, the EU economy remains resilient, with real GDP growth in 2026 expected to hit the same level as in 2025.<\/p>\n<p id=\"3d4b3ae9-b524-4be0-a333-8854a91871c3\">More than 70% of tech spend growth between 2025 and 2030 will stem from enterprise and government investments in computer equipment and software, the Forrester found.<\/p>\n<p id=\"b80974b8-ba09-47c8-8d38-017af952e6d6\">\u201cIn spite of economic volatility worldwide, tech spending will see robust growth, fueled by the defense, financial services, healthcare, industry, and retail sectors\u2019 continued investment in and adoption of AI,\u201d said Michael O\u2019Grady, principal forecast analyst at Forrester.<\/p>\n<p id=\"effba09f-66a6-48ba-b8a1-e0828a10d97a\">\u201cOur research finds, however, that in order to successfully manage the impacts of tariffs, trade wars, and strong AI investment in the year ahead, businesses will need to prioritize AI initiatives that both drive productivity and foster the growth of AI-driven tech talent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"2497126b-16ad-45cb-b826-26b47f5e8154\">As for the UK, things are moving fast from <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/software\/development\/can-ai-coding-tools-be-trusted-developers-arent-so-sure-over-a-third-are-concerned-about-ai-generated-code-quality-despite-widespread-adoption-and-productivity-gains\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/software\/development\/can-ai-coding-tools-be-trusted-developers-arent-so-sure-over-a-third-are-concerned-about-ai-generated-code-quality-despite-widespread-adoption-and-productivity-gains\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/software\/development\/can-ai-coding-tools-be-trusted-developers-arent-so-sure-over-a-third-are-concerned-about-ai-generated-code-quality-despite-widespread-adoption-and-productivity-gains\">AI experimentation<\/a> to performance &#8211; particularly in the financial sector, where three-quarters of institutions have already adopted AI technologies.<\/p>\n<p id=\"48113100-a859-475b-a421-4fdcf99724b7\">&#8220;We are witnessing a bold commitment to R&amp;D, with defense and healthcare leading the charge;
