Ostend-Bruges Airport closed 2025 with strong operational and financial results, welcoming 404,076 passengers, up 15% year-on-year and marking the first time passenger numbers exceeded 400,000 since 2019. Aircraft movements totalled 22,571, while air freight volumes rose sharply by 26% to 22,899 tonnes, underlining the airport\u2019s growing role as a regional logistics hub.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Passenger demand was particularly strong during the summer, with September as the peak month and more than 141,500 passengers travelling through the airport between July and September. The airport attributes growth to its convenient, passenger-friendly offering, with short waiting times and smooth operations. Looking ahead to 2026, Ostend-Bruges Airport will maintain a stable leisure network of 13 destinations in Spain, Greece, and Turkey, with TUI Fly increasing capacity by 5%, and expects passenger numbers to again exceed 400,000.<\/p>\n

The airport further reinforced its position as a reliable alternative airport, accommodating numerous diverted flights from across Northwest Europe and demonstrating operational flexibility during winter weather disruptions in early 2026. Financially, Ostend-Bruges Airport recorded a positive operating result of \u20ac78,000, reflecting disciplined cost control and targeted investments.<\/p>\n

Strategically, the airport is focusing on sustainable, diversified growth, with continued expansion of cargo activities, strengthened links to the UK via Eurotunnel, and plans to further develop MRO and training operations, supporting long-term resilience and regional economic impact.<\/p>\n
