\n“It’s tough to get official information from individuals in this instance, for example, the one that that started last week when we checked with the authorities, when we check with the police, because we had heard that there were threats made against, customs brokers, threats against, truck drivers. But when we checked with the police there in Chetumal they were saying that they didn’t have any official reports or anything of that sort. If they did that, there would be an investigation that would have ensued but, so it was hard to try to connect the dots and connect the pieces. All we could do is to try to keep up a level of diplomatic pressure from my office with the individuals who are in charge of security, who are in charge of customs, and who are in charge of maintaining daily communications. And so what we did was we were working with the federal authorities. We were also working with state authorities, like I said, special advisers to the office of the governor. How much that impacted the decision that was made today to resume activities, that is anybody’s guess. But, what I can report on is that since the last Tuesday and Wednesday, when we found out about it, we were working on the channels that, that we have available to us.”
