Eurobank reaffirmed its strategic commitment to the shipping sector<\/strong> by participating as a platinum sponsor at the 2026 keynote annual event<\/strong> of the Propeller Club of the United States \u2013 Port of Limassol.<\/p>\n

The event, held in Limassol on March 20<\/strong><\/a>, brought together key stakeholders from the maritime industry, highlighting the importance of Cyprus as a global shipping hub<\/strong> and its growing international relevance.<\/p>\n

The keynote speaker was Amin Toufani, an internationally recognised expert on organisational adaptability<\/strong>, known for his work on artificial intelligence, exponential technologies and innovation strategy.<\/p>\n

His presence in Cyprus was described as a rare opportunity for the local market to engage directly with a globally recognised thought leader<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Through his address, Toufani emphasised the critical importance of adaptability<\/strong> for organisations operating in an environment shaped by rapid technological change, geopolitical challenges and the energy transition.<\/p>\n

He also provided insights aimed at supporting strategic decision-making in an increasingly complex global landscape<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the event, Eurobank senior general manager Stephanos Kassianides underlined the bank\u2019s consistent support for the shipping industry<\/strong>, describing it as a key pillar of the Cypriot economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe shipping sector remains a cornerstone of the Cypriot economy and Cyprus holds a crucial position on the global maritime map,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

He also referred to the bank\u2019s evolving presence in Cyprus, highlighting the creation of Eurobank Limited through the acquisition and merger<\/strong> of Hellenic Bank with Eurobank Cyprus.<\/p>\n

This move was described as the largest investment in the country\u2019s banking sector<\/strong>, leading to the establishment of the largest banking and insurance organisation in Cyprus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Particular emphasis was placed on Eurobank\u2019s leading role in shipping finance<\/strong>, with the bank offering specialised solutions tailored to the sector\u2019s changing needs.<\/p>\n

These solutions are designed to support sustainable growth and enhance competitiveness<\/strong> within the maritime industry.<\/p>\n

Eurobank reiterated its intention to continue supporting initiatives that promote dialogue, innovation and international connectivity<\/strong> in Cyprus\u2019 shipping sector.<\/p>\n
