Mobileye has secured a production programme with a major US automaker to integrate its driver monitoring system (DMS) into future vehicles built on the EyeQ6L system-on-chip, with start of production targeted for 2027. The win expands the scope of an existing advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) programme and is expected to span millions of vehicles across multiple models and model years.<\/p>\n

The Mobileye DMS runs alongside ADAS perception on a single chip, combining interior sensing with exterior road awareness to assess not only whether a driver is alert but whether their attention corresponds with conditions on the road. The platform also incorporates occupant monitoring (OMS), and Mobileye said the consolidated approach eliminates the cost and complexity of a separate DMS electronic control unit.<\/p>\n

The programme builds on existing wins, including DMS and OMS integrated into EyeQ6H-based SuperVision and Surround ADAS programmes with a separate global automaker.<\/p>\n

The platform is designed to support Euro NCAP 2026 scoring requirements and to address the anticipated Euro NCAP 2029 protocol, which is expected to raise the benchmark from eye tracking to meaningful engagement detection.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Nimrod Nehushtan, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, said: \u201cThe next generation of intelligent driving demands richer context from every part of the vehicle.
