ADNOC’s gas subsidiary, Abu Dhabi\u2019s state oil firm, said on Monday that it had?made temporary adjustments? to its production of liquid?natural gas? and export-traded liquids? in response?to?the?ongoing shipping disrupt?ion in the Strait of Hormuz.\n<\/p>\n

Iranian officials responded by saying that if they were attacked, they would ‘close down the strait completely and destroy energy and desalination facilities across the region.\n<\/p>\n

ADNOC Gas “is actively collaborating with customers and partners on a transaction-by-transaction basis to fulfill ?commitments wherever possible,” the company said in ?a stock-exchange disclosure.\n<\/p>\n

It didn’t provide any further information on output. Das Island, a facility with a 6 million-metric-ton LNG capacity per year, is located inside the Gulf. Tankers must therefore transit the Strait of Hormuz in order to reach the facility.\n<\/p>\n

ADNOC Gas reported that “operations are continuing in a safe manner across ADNOC Gas plc\u2019s asset base.” Inspections conducted after debris fell near certain?facilities confirmed that no injuries were sustained and there was no impact on the?integrity of?core processing?.\n<\/p>\n

Habshan’s gas processing complex is one of the largest in the world, with a daily capacity of 6.1 billion cubic feet. It was closed on 19 March after two incidents involving falling debris, following the successful interception of missiles.\n<\/p>\n
