Hanwha Vision is accelerating efforts to strengthen its next-generation video security capabilities through a strategic partnership with U.S.-based AI semiconductor company Ambarella.<\/p>\n

The two companies signed a technology collaboration agreement on March 20 at The Plaza Hotel in central Seoul, launching joint development of advanced AI-powered video security solutions. The signing ceremony was attended by key executives, including Kim Dong-sun, Executive Vice President and Head of Future Vision at Hanwha Vision, and Fermi Wang, CEO of Ambarella.<\/p>\n

At the core of the partnership is the integration of next-generation system-on-chip (SoC) technology with AI-based video analytics. By combining Hanwha Vision\u2019s expertise in image processing with Ambarella\u2019s strengths in AI semiconductor design, the companies aim to develop more precise and intelligent video recognition and analysis solutions. In particular, Ambarella\u2019s AI vision processor architecture, CVflow\u00ae, is recognized for its competitiveness in video data processing, raising expectations for strong synergies.<\/p>\n

Building on this collaboration, Hanwha Vision plans to expand the application of AI technologies beyond traditional security domains into a broader range of industries. The collaboration is expected to create synergies across the group\u2019s tech and lifestyle solution businesses, with potential applications of AI video analytics in areas such as hygiene and safety management, as well as customer behavior analysis.<\/p>\n

A Hanwha Vision official said, \u201cTechnologies secured through this partnership will first be applied across various business sites within the group and then expanded into new business models.
