They included grain, up 18.4% to 25,060 carloads; chemicals, up 5.5% to 34,966; and petroleum and petroleum products, up 11.3% to 10,688.<\/p>\n<p>Commodity groups that posted decreases included coal, down 5.9% to 57,825 carloads; metallic ores and metals, down 8.1% to 17,987; and forest products, down 8% to 7,816.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Canadian railroads posted 88,636 carloads in the week, down 4.7%, and 72,706 intermodal units, down 0.5%.
