Panasonic Automotive Systems has debuted its in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system in Toyota\u2019s 2026 RAV4, marking the first adoption of Toyota\u2019s Arene software platform in a production vehicle. The system integrates with Arene, developed by Toyota group company Woven by Toyota, to enable over-the-air (OTA) updates for both multimedia and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features.<\/p>\n

The IVI system is available with a 12.9-inch or 10.5-inch high-definition LCD display and consolidates navigation, temperature control and multimedia into a single interface. Connectivity features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth audio, digital radio support and cloud-based navigation. A customisable home screen and smartphone-linked voice recognition provide personalisation, while an ADAS-integrated camera recording function adds a safety dimension.<\/p>\n
Panasonic Automotive Systems says the large-scale software framework established for this product is intended to support broader software-defined vehicle (SDV) adoption across Toyota\u2019s lineup. The company says it will continue collaborating with Toyota to develop compatible software platforms.<\/p>\n
The 2026 RAV4 began reaching North American dealerships in February and is expected to be available in more than 170 countries.<\/p>\n
