Baikonur. March 17. KazTAG \u2013 The Soyuz-2.1a rocket with the Progress MS-33 cargo transport spacecraft has been installed at the launch pad at Pad 31 of the cosmodrome.<\/p>\n

“The Soyuz-2.1a rocket with the Progress MS-33 cargo spacecraft was transported from Assembly and Test Building 40 via the cosmodrome’s railway line this morning at 7:30 AM local time and installed in Launch Pad No. 6 at Pad 31 in a vertical position,” a source at the cosmodrome reported.<\/p>\n

Following the collapse of the service cabin on November 27, 2025, a new cabin was installed at the launch pad. Installation of the new device was completed in late February 2026.<\/p>\n

To test the operation of the newly installed equipment, the rocket was rolled out to the launch pad five days before launch, rather than the traditional three.<\/p>\n

After the service trusses were assembled, specialists from Russian rocket and space industry companies began work on the first day of fitting and docking tests. Work on the second day of fitting and docking tests will begin on March 18.<\/p>\n

“Then, over the next three days, cosmodrome specialists will conduct final checks of the launch pad and launch vehicle systems,” the source told the agency’s reporter.<\/p>\n
