Lufthansa Cargo has integrated its Add-on Services into the digital booking process, making it easier and more transparent for customers to select and add additional services to their air freight shipments. <\/p>\n

With this update, customers can now view all available Add-on Services for their selected product, speed and route at the end of the booking flow. Each service is displayed with transparent pricing and can be added individually with just a few clicks. The integration of the \u201ctoDoor\u201d and \u201cInsurance\u201d services into the digital booking process is still underway. <\/p>\n

The Add-on Services are part of Lufthansa Cargo\u2019s modular product portfolio. Customers first choose a product and define the required speed, after which they can enhance their booking with suitable additional services based on their specific needs. <\/p>\n

Currently, five Add-on Services are available. \u201cSustainable Choice\u201d allows customers to support the use of sustainable aviation fuel and contribute to certified climate protection projects linked to the CO\u2082 emissions of their shipment. \u201cPersonal Supervision\u201d is designed for valuable and irreplaceable artworks, enabling representatives or curators to personally accompany shipments during ground handling. This service is available in Frankfurt and Munich. <\/p>\n

The \u201csmartULD\u201d service provides real-time data transmission, allowing continuous temperature monitoring for sensitive shipments and is offered with the \u201cActive Temp Control\u201d product. \u201ctoDoor\u201d enables direct delivery to the consignee\u2019s bonded warehouse through Lufthansa Cargo\u2019s Road Feeder Service. \u201cInsurance\u201d offers a door-to-door air freight insurance solution beyond standard liability limits and is provided in cooperation with partner Delvag. <\/p>\n

Through these services, Lufthansa Cargo aims to address key customer requirements across the transport chain and offer greater flexibility in designing logistics solutions. The integration of Add-on Services into the booking process is part of the company\u2019s ongoing efforts to enhance its digital customer journey, with further services already under development. <\/p>\n
