HII photo.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Union-represented workers at <strong><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">H<\/span><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">untington I<\/span><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">ngalls I<\/span><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">ndustries<\/span><\/strong>\u2019 <strong><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Ingalls Shipbuilding<\/span><\/strong> division have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement that includes the largest wage increase in the Mississippi shipyard\u2019s history.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"331\" data-end=\"615\">The agreement delivers an immediate base wage increase of 18% or more for union shipbuilders and establishes a contract that runs through March 8, 2031. According to the company, overall wage growth under the agreement could total 35% to 47% by the end of the contract period.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"617\" data-end=\"944\">Company leadership said the pay increases are intended to strengthen recruitment and retention as Ingalls continues building major U.S. Navy programs. The Pascagoula yard produces several classes of Navy ships, including amphibious warships and destroyers, and remains a cornerstone of the nation\u2019s naval shipbuilding capacity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"946\" data-end=\"1315\">\u201cThis agreement strengthens our partnership with our represented shipbuilders and affirms our commitment to providing competitive wages and stability for our workforce,\u201d said Ingalls Shipbuilding President Brian Blanchette in a statement. \u201cThe dedication and expertise of our Ingalls shipbuilders are essential to meeting the U.S. Navy\u2019s growing demand for more ships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1462\">Negotiations between company leadership and union representatives concluded Feb. 12, when both sides agreed on terms to present for ratification.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1464\" data-end=\"1772\">The agreement was approved by members of five unions representing workers at the Pascagoula shipyard: the <span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Pascagoula Metal Trades Council<\/span>, <span class=\"whitespace-normal\">International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers<\/span>, <span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Office and Professional Employees International Union<\/span>, <span class=\"whitespace-normal\">International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers<\/span>, and the <span class=\"whitespace-normal\">United Federation of Special Police and Security Officers<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"2049\">Shipyard leadership said the wage package reflects the importance of the Ingalls workforce as the Navy pushes to expand fleet capacity.
