As a consequence, he says they, quote, “will be held accountable for the violation and we are discussing the proper disposal of the fuel.”\n<\/p>\n
\nHe says they did not apply for and obtain an import permit for fuel from The Department of the Environment.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe commissioner of Ports Kaylon Young told us, quote, “as it relates to the cargo onboard the vessel, that remains under the jurisdiction of the Customs Department and the Department of Environment. They will determine the action taken regarding that.”\n<\/p>\n
\nThe vessel has a Columbian crew and carries a Panamanian Flag<\/p>\n
