LOGISTICS company 2GO is exploring additional sea routes as part of its expansion efforts to further connect Mindanao, Visayas, and Luzon while strengthening cargo and passenger transport for businesses and travelers.<\/p>\n

During the Habi at Kape forum on Wednesday, Christina Alconcel, 2GO Forwarding senior business development manager, shared that thy are currently studying possible new routes to expand their network.<\/p>\n

Although the plan is still in the development stage, 2GO expects to improve cargo movement and accessibility for businesses across the country once implemented.<\/p>\n

2GO earlier launched routes connecting Davao to Cebu, Manila, General Santos, and Iloilo, which helped small and medium enterprises (SMEs) transport goods, particularly agricultural products, at more affordable rates.<\/p>\n

Each passenger ticket also allows up to 55 kilograms of free cargo, providing additional support to small-scale traders and business owners transporting their products.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are still looking into additional routes. It\u2019s still on the drawing board and in the planning stage, but it would really be helpful for businesses once these plans move forward,\u201d Alconcel said.<\/p>\n

Aside from the existing routes, the company also recently launched a route connecting Manila to Siargao in November, which now docks directly at Dapa Port, making travel and cargo transport more convenient for both tourists and businesses by eliminating additional transfers from nearby ports.<\/p>\n

Alconcel added that expanding the routes aims to make transportation more accessible and cost-efficient for businesses, particularly those shipping goods from Mindanao to markets in the Visayas and Luzon.<\/p>\n

She emphasized that the company continues to work with business groups and government agencies to promote their services and study future routes, with the goal of strengthening trade, tourism, and logistics connections across the country.<\/p>\n
