One of America’s largest defence technology company Anduril has acquired missile tracking and intelligence company ExoAnalytic Solutions. With the acquisition, Anduril extends its reach into the US defense interests in space, marking a significant expansion of the company\u2019s space defense program. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Founded by Oculus creator Palmer Luckey in 2017, Anduril develops solutions, including a wide range of sensors and drones, and has gained prominence amid increasing calls for low-cost autonomous defense products. The company has been steadily scaling its portfolio of space and satellite defense capabilities as it pushes beyond its widely recognized autonomous drone technology. <\/p>\n

California-based ExoAnalytic Solutions operates a network of 400 telescopes around the world, which it uses to track spacecraft in high orbits above the planet. The company\u2019s engineers are reported to develop software that converts those observations into situational awareness tools for U.S. national security agencies watching adversary spacecraft and coordinating American assets on orbit.<\/span>ExoAnalytic Solutions is Andruil’s first acquisition for its space business. The deal comes as President Donald Trump\u2019s administration works to boost US space defenses, such as the real-time tracking of military conflicts and the multibillion-dollar Golden Dome missile defense shield. Anduril is also helping the US Army build its $22 billion augmented reality headset programme. The defense tech company is aiming to improve the Department of Defense\u2019s visibility in space as it becomes a \u201cwar-fighting domain,\u201d said Gokul Subramanian, Anduril\u2019s senior vice president of engineering for software programs. \u201cWe believe the [Department of Defense] deserves the best catalog of everything going on in space across commercial and government-specific investments,\u201d he told reporters. \u201cWe want to be part of that solution for the warfighter.\u201d<\/span>.The acquisition of California-based ExoAnalytic will add about 130 employees to Anduril\u2019s current space-dedicated team of around 120, doubling the size of the group. \u201cWe expect that team to come right into our space business, supercharge everything we do in space, on Earth and in missile defense,\u201d Subramanian said.<\/span>The merger will allow Anduril to use ExoAnalytic\u2019s global network of commercial telescopes and missile defense software to better monitor objects in orbit and respond to them for national security missions. \u201cThis business unit has grown among the fastest at any unit at Anduril, and where my posture is, we\u2019re going to continue to massively invest in this and grow it out,\u201d Subramanian told reporters during a briefing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anduril Industries is reportedly seeking to raise about $4 billion from venture capital firms Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. According to a recent report in Reuters, the financing will see the defense startup’s valuation almost double. Anduril was valued at $30.5 billion in a funding round in June 2025. The company has become one of Silicon Valley’s hottest defense bets as drones reshape warfare \u200cin \u2060Ukraine and the Middle East, and President Trump pushes the Pentagon to adopt cutting-edge technologies to counter China.<\/span><\/p>\n
