Prime Minister Denisse Miralles<\/a> on Tuesday stated that air cargo is a key driver of Peru’s foreign trade, allowing the South American country’s products to reach major international markets swiftly. <\/p>\n

The event<\/strong><\/em> takes place in Lima and is organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Global leaders gather to analyze the future of logistics and international trade at the symposium held in South America for the first time.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

“During her remarks, she (Miralles) highlighted that air cargo is a key driver of foreign trade,” <\/em>the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) reported on X.<\/p>\n

“It moves 23% of Peru’s export value, more than US$20.7 billion, allowing high-value products to reach the world’s main markets swiftly and safely,”<\/em> the government agency added.<\/p>\n

In her speech, the Cabinet chief also noted that President Jose Maria Balcazar\u2019s government promotes the signing of Addendum No. 5 to the concession contract for the second group of airports.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The measure will allow investments worth over US$424 million to modernize airport infrastructure in various Peruvian regions.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

“Connectivity, investment, and openness to the world consolidate Peru’s vision as a regional logistics platform. With more infrastructure, trade, and international cooperation, the country strengthens its economic integration and expands opportunities for Peruvian products to reach more markets,” <\/em>the PCM underscored. <\/p>\n
