This was facilitated by Invest Cyprus, <\/strong>which successfully organised an international investment conference <\/strong>in London on February 26 in the English capital. <\/p>\n The conference was held in collaboration with FT Locations<\/strong>, the global investment arm of the Financial Times, bringing together global investors and business leaders to discuss the island\u2019s economic outlook.<\/p>\n The event, titled \u201cInvesting in Cyprus Risk, returns and FDI flows in the innovation corridor\u201d<\/strong>, took place at Bracken House<\/strong>, the headquarters of the Financial Times.<\/p>\n The conference gathered leading asset managers, institutional investors and senior business executives<\/strong>, highlighting Cyprus\u2019 transformation into a resilient and technologically advanced European investment hub<\/strong>.<\/p>\n At a time of heightened geopolitical complexity, Cyprus<\/strong> was presented as a strategic European platform for global capital with strong regional reach<\/strong>.<\/p>\n This momentum, according to the organisers, is supported by a robust macroeconomic framework and strong economic performance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Cyprus remains one of the fastest growing economies in the European Union<\/strong>, with growth reaching 3.4 per cent in 2024<\/strong> and accelerating to 4.5 per cent in late 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The country has also returned to the \u201cA\u201d credit rating category across all major rating agencies<\/strong>, reinforcing international confidence in its economic stability.<\/p>\n At the same time, public debt has fallen below 60 per cent of GDP<\/strong>, while unemployment has dropped to under 5 per cent<\/strong>, pointing to conditions approaching full employment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The forum highlighted that foreign direct investment has become a central pillar of the country\u2019s growth model<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Cyprus currently ranks 11th globally in greenfield foreign direct investment performance<\/strong>, reflecting sustained international investor interest.<\/p>\n Further evidence of this confidence is the expansion of multinational companies already operating on the island<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Among these is MUFG<\/strong>, which now employs more than 250 people locally<\/strong>. Another example is Murex<\/strong>, which has expanded its operations in Cyprus to around 300 professionals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cInvestors today are looking for stability and regulatory credibility.
