HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the mid-tier shipbuilding holding company of HD Hyundai, said on the 6th it signed a contract with a Greek regional shipping company to build two crude oil carriers worth 263.2 billion won. The 157,000-deadweight-ton class vessels will be built at HD Hyundai Samho and delivered by May 31, 2029.<\/p>\n
With this order, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has won a total of 31 vessels to date, worth $4.55 billion (about 6.7162 trillion won), achieving 19.5% of its annual order target of $23.31 billion (about 34.4195 trillion won).<\/p>\n
By ship type, the tally includes 10 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, 10 container ships, three liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and ammonia carriers, six crude oil carriers, and two product carriers.
