A major fire incident was reported in Jharkhand<\/a>\u2019s Dumka district after a vehicle transporting flammable materials was hit from behind by another vehicle, triggering a blaze that engulfed at least four trucks.<\/p>\n

The accident occurred when a container carrying lighters caught fire after it collided with another vehicle<\/a> from the rear. According to local officials, the impact caused the flammable cargo to fall onto the road and ignite, quickly spreading flames to nearby vehicles.<\/p>\n

Dumka Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Kaushal Kumar said that the collision has resulted in casualties<\/a>, but the exact number is yet to be confirmed. A person who was sleeping inside one of the vehicles sustained severe burns, and so did one of the drivers of another truck. They were immediately rushed to hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

Fire tenders and administrative teams were immediately deployed to the site. After sustained firefighting efforts, the blaze was brought under control. Authorities have kept additional emergency vehicles on standby as a precaution, fearing that remnants of the flammable material could reignite.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt present, the situation is under control, and the fires have been extinguished,\u201d the SDO said, adding that they are maintaining vigilance to prevent any further spread.<\/p>\n

Further details regarding the number of injured and the extent of losses are awaited as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n
