Management of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has suspended five officers from its Customs Division as part of an ongoing investigation into the handling of a transit cargo consignment destined for Niger.<\/p>\n

The interdiction, which takes effect immediately, follows a targeted enforcement operation on February 18, 2026, that uncovered significant discrepancies in the documentation and processing of the goods.<\/p>\n

According to a statement released by the GRA on Tuesday, the operation revealed potential breaches of established transit protocols, prompting an immediate and detailed internal review. The five officers have been asked to step aside pending the outcome of a comprehensive investigation.<\/p>\n
