ScotRail has donated 10 laptops and 20 iPads to Street Soccer Scotland, helping the charity empower people facing homelessness, social isolation, and other challenges.
Purchased using funds from recycled old tech, the devices will be used by staff and service users across nationwide programmes.
The technology will support participants in building digital confidence, accessing online learning, and connecting with essential services such as benefits, housing, and employment opportunities.
This donation reflects ScotRail’s ongoing commitment to Scottish communities. Street Soccer Scotland’s football-inspired programmes aim to boost confidence, provide vital support, and create pathways to stable housing and work.
“We’re incredibly grateful to ScotRail for this generous donation. These laptops and iPads will make a real difference to the people we support across Scotland.
“Digital access is essential when it comes to applying for jobs, finding housing, accessing benefits, and connecting with support services. This equipment will help our staff work more effectively in communities, while also giving participants the opportunity to build confidence with technology and access online learning.
“Partnerships like this help us create more opportunities for people to move forward in their lives, and we’re delighted to be working with ScotRail to support that mission.”
David Duke MBE, Founder and CEO of Street Soccer Scotland.
