Two men are wanted by police for stealing thousands of dollars of technology from an Amazon warehouse by stuffing it down their pants, according to arrest warrants.
They stole the merchandise while working at the Amazon Fulfillment Center at the former Cortana Mall.
Byron Johnson, 33, allegedly stole $6,346 worth of gadgets between June 30 and Aug. 28, 2025. Javontay Seals, 21, allegedly stole $1,196 worth of merchandise on July 7 and 23, 2025.
The Amazon Loss Prevention team contacted both men after they were fired, and both admitted they stole the merchandise by stuffing it down the front of their pants.
Johnson told the Loss Prevention team he stole over $22,000 worth of merchandise but video surveillance only saw the $6,346 in Apple and Samsung products.
Seals told the Loss Prevention team he stole over $3,000 worth of products because he was homeless and had “lots of children to provide child support for.”
Between the two men they stole nine AirPods, three iPads, two Apple watches, two iPhones, two Samsung phones and one digital scale.
Baton Rouge Police has obtained a warrant for both men’s arrests.
