Finnish health-tech company ŌURA has entered India with the launch of its Oura Ring 4 — a smart ring that tracks over 50 health and wellness indicators, the company said. The product will be available from tomorrow through Cromā stores and Amazon, it added.
The wearable Oura Ring 4 translates health data into personalized insights through the Oura App (iOS and Android), the company said. Using ŌURA smart sensing technology, the ring uses smart algorithms and research-grade sensors that adjust to each person’s uniqueness – including finger shape, skin tone, and other individual differences, it said. “Its multi-wavelength sensing system and 18 signal pathways give a clearer, more reliable picture of your body, turning those signals into more precise, personalised health insights,” it added.
The product is made from lightweight titanium with recessed sensors for 24/7 comfort, including during sleep, the company said, and it would be in 12 sizes (4–15), besides six finishes black, silver, stealth, brushed silver, gold, and rose gold.
The product is priced at ₹28,900 (silver and black) and ₹39,900 (stealth, brushed silver, gold, and rose gold), and its monthly membership is ₹599.00.
Citing a study conducted by the company, Doug Sweeny, Chief Marketing Officer, ŌURA, said, “The data is clear: sleep is the foundation of health, but Indians’ ultra‑connected, fast‑paced lives are at odds with getting great sleep.”
The report found that India is among the shortest‑sleeping populations in the ŌURA global dataset, with Oura members in India averaging 6 hours and 28 minutes of sleep per night – around 40 minutes less than the longest‑sleeping countries, a note from the company said. “With guidelines recommending 7–9 hours of sleep per night for healthy adults, many Indians are building up sleep debt, a pattern shaped by the country’s multi‑country work schedules, expanding night‑time social lives, and always‑on, connected lifestyles,” it added.
