UK govt warns tech firms to speed up action to protect women, girls

The UK government has told tech firms to speed up action to protect women and girls online, or face further action. At a roundtable with leading tech firms on Monday 09 March, Technology Secretary Liz Kendall told them to use every available tool to protect women and girls from misogyny and abuse online. Companies attending the meeting includes Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube and Meta.
