Northlink has provided a disruption update for Wednesday’s freight sailings.

The Helliar’s southbound sailing has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions tomorrow night (Wednesday).

Meanwhile, the Hildasay’s northbound sailing will leave Aberdeen at 3pm and will arrive in Kirkwall at midnight, before returning to Aberdeen instead of continuing to Lerwick.

The Hildasay was previously due to arrive in Lerwick on Thursday morning.

Weather forecasts have indicated the possibility of disruption from Wednesday 11th March through to Friday 13th March.

More updates will follow as forecasts are updated.
