Maersk suspends two shipping services linking Far East, Middle East and Europe

Maersk announced Friday it has temporarily suspended two shipping services as a precautionary measure to protect personnel and vessels while limiting disruption to its broader network.

The Danish shipping company said it has halted the FM 1 service, which connects the Far East to the Middle East, and the ME11 service, linking the Middle East to Europe.

The decision was made to ensure the safety of Maersk’s personnel and vessels, the company stated.

Maersk added that the suspension aims to minimize operational disruption across its wider network.
