At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 exhibition, Lenovo Group Limited unveiled a “next-generation” set of computer systems equipped with artificial intelligence technologies; the most advanced “AI”-enabled computers will seem almost sentient from how they identify, interface, and respond to users. On the showroom floor, there was a real feeling that the future had arrived and that all the attendees wanted to engage with these new products.
How AI-powered hardware became the star of Lenovo’s show
The CES, an annual exhibition for technology in Las Vegas, has always been known for exciting product announcements by companies in the tech industry.
However, this year was different because Lenovo used this year’s CES to showcase how AI can be used as a link between human thought and computer operation to perform really useful tasks. Lenovo’s entire range of next-generation consumer products is designed to create smarter, more adaptive experiences, including new Yoga and IdeaPad laptops, desktops, and accessories.
Most people did not anticipate that it would not only be about brute force or showing off, but rather that Lenovo has redefined our interpretation of how we perceive technology, not so much as responding to requests, but understanding us. It was as if these devices were intending to predict our needs and not simply reacting to our keyboard or mouse actions.
When technology starts acting like a personal assistant
Lenovo’s new personal AI, Qira, has received much attention and acclaim at CES because it is designed to assist users with organizing their day and keeping track of their workflow. Qira connects phones, tablets, and computers into one seamless digital experience by being able to know what users were doing before switching from one device to another, just as the Teton supercomputer advances scientific computing.
For instance, if you were using your tablet to do your homework, then you switched to your laptop to do something creative, Qira will allow you to transition from homework to creative work on either device easily. Alternatively, if you were juggling errands on your phone and switched to another device, you would also be able to continue where you left off with the assistance of Qira.
There is something that is similar to having a non-intrusive, subtle friend helping you out with the overall aspects of technology. It was interesting to note that many people at the show had a genuine desire to learn about how Qira could assist with their device interaction, especially since it appears to be both more helpful and easier to use than any other device hybrid solution currently available.
Proof-of-concept devices that hint at tomorrow’s technology
Lenovo also showcased concept laptops that adapt to work, play, and creativity. While not yet available, they hint at a future where computers assist us almost like humans, as CES 2026 showcases data-centric digital innovation.
It is unclear when these concepts will become available as consumer products, but their existence offers hope that we are not only moving toward more intelligent computers but are actually creating a tomorrow in which our machines will assist us in ways that make them feel more like humans.
Devices that go beyond expectations and make life easier than ever
Lenovo introduced Copilot+ PCs with Intel Ultra Series 3 processors for fast, smooth AI tasks. Even complex computing felt effortless, showing that AI is becoming accessible and practical for everyone.
Not all of Lenovo’s AI feature enhancements were found in premium equipment. They also enhanced their regular laptops and desktops to provide more smart computing to everyone, not just gamers and other professionals, allowing everyone to benefit from smarter computing options on a broader range of devices.
As a result, with every new AI computer unveiled by Lenovo at CES 2026, today’s computers have been transformed from mere machines to extensions of ourselves that have intelligence and personality. The introduction of this technology will allow us to utilize computers in much more human ways than we ever have in the past, and we can anticipate the role that AI will play in our daily lives, as NTT Data publishes its 2026 digital AI trends.
