ALLENTOWN — The ninth-seeded Westampton Tech varsity girls’ basketball team surged past the eighth-seeded Allentown High squad in the second and third quarters to bring away a 48-36 victory Wednesday in the first round of the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group III Tournament.
Harmoni Cummings led all scorers with 15 points for the Panthers.
Lily DeRose’s 14 points were high for the Redbirds, whose season came to an end after a 16-10 campaign.
