Reprieve for tech investors as stocks rally, but can it last?

Soothing words from artificial intelligence start-up Anthropic breathed new life into the technology sector on Wednesday as it told a jittery market it was trying to build partnerships rather than replace existing services.

But investors were still deciding whether the rebound in tech stocks around the world, including in Australia, was a “dead cat bounce” – where prices jump before falling again – or a big buying opportunity.
