AUSTIN, Minn. — Hormel Foods Corporation has named Donald Monk as its chief technology officer, effective March 23. Monk will lead the company’s technology strategy, focusing on digital and data advancements to support long-term growth.
“Don is an exceptional technology leader with a proven track record of transforming large, global organizations,” said John Ghingo, president of Hormel Foods. “His experience and leadership will be critical in enhancing the capabilities that empower our business.”
Monk brings over 35 years of global technology experience, including a tenure as chief information officer at General Mills. Hormel says he is recognized for leading enterprise transformations and building advanced digital ecosystems.
Monk’s education includes a Master of Science in software engineering from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
