Alexander Jeanty scored a game-high 23 points, including five 3-pointers, as Westampton Tech defeated Burlington Township 74-57 in the first round of the Burlington County Tournament in Westampton.
The fourth-seeded Panthers (17-7) have won seven straight games. They’ll host fifth-seeded Cherokee Monday in a tournament quarterfinal.
The Panthers, built a 15-9 first-quarter lead, then exploded for 32 points in the second quarter to take a commanding 47-29 halftime advantage.
Jason Livingstone added 15 points and six rebounds for Westampton Tech, while Tristen Dickerson contributed 11 assists and seven rebounds.
Andrew Larbie led Burlington Township (12-11) with 22 points, including two 3-pointers and six free throws. Christian George contributed 15 points for the Falcons, whose four-game winning streak came to an end.
