Startup Club ZA has launched Platform ZA, a national discovery, jobs, news, resources and networking platform designed to improve access for South African tech founders.
Founded in 2023, Startup Club ZA is South Africa’s largest tech startup and investor network, serving founders building the future through technology. It operates across national event initiatives, digital platforms and early-stage capital, working to reduce friction, increase access and create the conditions for world-class tech ventures to emerge locally and compete globally.
The launch of Platform ZA comes at a time when South African founders are building increasingly ambitious and globally competitive technology companies, yet still face a fragmented ecosystem that makes access to opportunity uneven.
It is a practical, inclusive tool that enables users to leverage the national reach of the Startup Club ZA network and brings together access, hiring, events, resources and founder visibility in a single, free-to-use, self-service platform.
“For the past few years, we’ve had a front-row seat to South Africa’s tech startup ecosystem, and it has become clear that stakeholders need a more practical way to access one another and benefit from a central hub for updates, opportunities and resources. Built with considerable input from founders and ecosystem partners across the country, and designed to help users leverage Startup Club ZA’s national reach, we believe Platform ZA will make that access more achievable and equitable,” said Mathew Marsden, founder of Startup Club ZA.
Launched as a build-in-public initiative, Platform ZA will continue to evolve based on ongoing feedback from the South African tech startup community. The platform is open to founders, investors, operators, service partners, community leaders and individuals looking to join startups.
